How Kingston compares with the other cities we checked

We compared Kingston with the 39 Canadian cities where we checked enough clinic homepages. Each line shows the share of homepages with no online booking found, the average for that clinic type, and Kingston’s rank (1 means the highest share missing booking).

  • Physiotherapy: 33% (3 points below the 36% average), rank 17 of 31.
  • Chiropractic: 19% (14 points below the 33% average), rank 31 of 34.
  • Dental: 32% (5 points below the 37% average), rank 31 of 39.

What this means for each type of clinic in Kingston

Physiotherapy (15 homepages)

No review feed or stars on 93% (average 97%); a DIY builder on 33% (average 14%). A DIY site is fine if it has condition pages and booking; check those before paying for a rebuild.

Chiropractic (16 homepages)

No review feed or stars on 94% (average 98%); a DIY builder on 19% (average 15%). Check speed and the booking path on a phone before you think about a new site.

Dental (28 homepages)

No review feed or stars on 100% (average 98%); a DIY builder on 0% (average 8%). Ask after hygiene visits as a routine, and show the rating on the new-patient page where allowed.

Where a Kingston clinic usually starts

The biggest gap we saw in Kingston was the website platform among physiotherapy clinics: 33% ran on a do-it-yourself builder, against 14% across the cities we checked. A DIY builder is not a problem on its own; what matters is whether a patient can find your services and book on a phone. See clinic websites.

Everything else we do is on our services page, and how we work explains the audit, the one-time project and monthly care.

Questions owners ask

Are you located in Kingston?

No. We serve clinics in Kingston from our Calgary base, with no office there. The audit, approvals and reports happen by email, video call or phone.

Is online booking common for clinics in Kingston?

It depends on the type of clinic. Of the homepages we checked, chiropractic clinics were the most likely to offer it (81% had online booking we could find) and physiotherapy clinics the least (67%).

Which booking software do Kingston clinics use?

On the homepages we checked, the systems we detected most often were Jane, Cliniko and Square. We count what our scan can see on a homepage, so clinics that link to booking from another page are not counted.

Who regulates advertising for clinics in Ontario?

Each profession has its own regulator. The ones we found for Ontario are listed above, with links to their own websites. Their advertising and testimonial rules are the ones that apply to you.
