What we collect when you ask for an audit
The audit form asks for your clinic name, website, email address, the booking software you use and an optional note. We use it to prepare your audit and to reply to you. If you tick the box for email updates, we may also send you occasional emails; you can say stop at any time. We do not ask for, and do not want, patient information.
What we collect when you visit
We count page views and clicks in two ways.
Our own simple logging. It records the page, the site you came from, your country and city region, whether you used a phone or a computer, and what you clicked. It does not use cookies, does not record your IP address in our logs and does not follow you to other sites.
Google Analytics. We also use Google Analytics 4 to see how visitors find us and which pages and buttons lead to an audit request. It sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by letters and numbers) that last up to 90 days, and Google receives the page address without anything after a question mark, the site you came from, your approximate location, your browser and device type, and a short fixed list of actions: a click on a phone number, email address or button, a form being viewed, started or sent, and how far down a page you scroll. Google does not receive what you type into a form, your name, your email address or your clinic's details. We have switched off advertising features, ad personalisation and Google signals, so Google Analytics is not used to show you ads. In the European Union, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Quebec, it runs without cookies unless you choose to allow them. Google processes this on our behalf and may do so in the United States; see Google's privacy policy.
We use these counts to see which pages help owners and which do not.
The website grader
When you enter your clinic's web address in the grader, our server loads that one public page to check it. We keep a count of grader uses and the address you entered, so we can see which checks matter most. We do not store the page itself.
Who sees your information
Our team. Our hosting and email providers handle it on our behalf. We do not sell your information or share it with advertisers.
Not sure where your clinic stands? We’ll look at it the way a new patient does and send a short written report. No pitch.
How long we keep it
Audit requests are kept while we are working with you and for up to two years after our last contact, then deleted. Site visit counts are kept in aggregate. Google Analytics keeps visit data for 14 months.
Your choices
Email privacy@packedbook.com to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, or to stop emails. We will reply within 30 days. To turn Google Analytics off, use "Analytics choices" in the footer of any page; your browser will remember the choice. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, neither Google Analytics nor our own counts run. If you would like us not to count your own visits, add ?notrack to any page address once. You can also install Google's opt-out browser add-on.
